He said that he will maximize the impact of investing in this key strategic technology. Thus, he can seek the best solutions in the field of batteries, charging solutions and energy management."
How did Daimler Trucks create a global e-mobility organization.
Daimler Trucks is building a global e-mobility organization, including a new leadership position. During today's US financial and technology market days, Daimler Trucks also introduced two new all-electric trucks from Freightliner, the leading high-end American truck brand. The world's largest commercial vehicle manufacturer has introduced the new Freightliner eCascadia, a heavy-duty electric truck for long-distance operations (15 GVW) in Portland, Oregon. It covers the all-electric variant of the Freightliner eM2106 mid-section (9 to 12 GWT). Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) plans to deliver an innovative fleet of nearly 30 electric trucks to its first customers in the United States during 2018. As is already the case with the all-electric FUSO eCanter light truck and mid-truck, as well as Mercedes-Benz eActros, this company's goal is to gain expertise in eTrucks by working with customers to determine how to efficiently deploy the day-to-day electric trucks to any day-to-day transportation.
With Freightliner's two electronic trucks, the Mercedes-Benz eActros, FUSO eCanter, the all-electric Mercedes-Benz Citaro city bus and the Thomas Built Saf-T Liner C2 Jouley school bus, Daimler Trucks & Buses already has the widest range of fully electric commercial vehicles to be found. Anywhere.
Martin Daum, Member of the Board of Management of Daimler Trucks and Buses, said: “We are the undisputed world leader with confidence in the trucking industry, and we intend to stay in this position with electric trucks and buses. He is the first to move into electric trucks and he strives with the special team that He works with him to set standards in every relevant sector. By forming his new global e-mobility group, he will maximize the impact of his investments in this key strategic technology. Thus, enabling him to pursue the best solutions in battery, charging and energy management solutions.”

The Freightliner eCascadia is based on the Cascadia, the most successful long-distance heavy-duty truck (Class 8) in the North American market.
What about special horse power in Daimler Trucks.
730 hp is generated almost silently under the long bonnet characteristic of the American style. At 550 kWh, its batteries provide enough power for a range of up to 400 kilometers (250 miles), and can be recharged to about 80 percent in 90 minutes to cover another 320 kilometers (200 miles).
How was the design and reshipment.
The Freightliner eM2106 is designed for local distribution and last mile delivery services. The new electric version's batteries deliver 325 kW up to 480 hp. The eM2 has a range of about 370 km (230 mi). The batteries can be recharged to about 80 percent within 60 minutes, which is enough for a range of about 300 kilometers (184 miles).
Frank Reintjes added, "Through our Trucks and Buses we want to make our customers more successful. This applies to both electric trucks and conventional powertrains. Hence, we designed the Freightliner eCascadia and eM2 here in the United States, according to the specific requirements of our customers." As the undisputed leader and most trusted market leader in North America, we know that only trucks and buses that meet the needs of transportation operators will prevail in the market.”
By the end of 2018, a total of about 30 of these models had gone to first customers in North America. With this innovation fleet, DTNA has worked with carriers in day-to-day operations to learn more about the transportation missions of zero-emission trucks, in order to better respond to customer needs in the further development of electric drive systems.
