Is Kia 2023 an SUV.

Yes, it's an SUV because the all-wheel drive models are more powerful and can be had with a larger battery pack for a maximum of 310 miles of driving range. Handling is passionate, especially for an SUV, which makes for fun on the back roads. For hot shoe drivers, this year's new GT is the car that will have enough 576 horsepower to tempt Stinger owners when they blow it up. All the while, the EV6's cabin remains quiet and spacious enough to justify its place among SUV rivals such as the Ford Mustang Mach E, Ioniq 5 and Volkswagen ID.4. It's one of our favorite SUVs because its attributes add up to a well-rounded electric vehicle that's easy to handle, fun to drive and good value.

What's new in the 2023 Kia EV6.

New is the 2023 Kia EV6, and the fast-running GT model sits at the top of the EV6 lineup this year, with 576 horsepower and adaptive suspension. A green button on the steering wheel unlocks maximum power for the driveline, which we estimate would be enough to blast the EV6 to 60 mph in less than 3.2 seconds in our tests. To go along with its improved performance, Kia has also added more impressive interior elements to the GT's cabin, including sports seats and neon green trim. Unfortunately, the extra juice needed to pump out the extra horsepower reduces the GT's estimated driving range to just 206 miles per charge, a significant drop from the 310-mile maximum range of the more efficient model.

What about the special engine in the 2023 Kia EV6 EV?

Engine, power and performance. The EV6 is available with a single electric motor mounted on the rear axle that gives it rear-wheel drive, or electric motors in the front and rear that enable all-wheel drive. While all-wheel drive models have a larger battery and total capacity of 320 or 576 hp, the basic rear-wheel drive example has a smaller battery and only 167 hp. Choosing the larger battery boosts the EV6's total rear-wheel drive output to 225 horsepower. We've driven the GT-Line AWD in Europe and enjoyed its satisfying acceleration, nimble control, and regenerative and adjustable brake settings. On our test track, the 320-horsepower GT-Line managed a 4.5-second sprint from zero to 60 mph. If straight-line performance is the priority, 576 horsepower will hit 60 mph in 3.2 seconds.. The performance model is at the top of the lineup and comes with improvements like an electronic limited-slip differential and stronger chassis tuning. Adaptive suspension and fixed brakes.

What is the range, charge and battery life of the Kia EV6 2023.

The Kia EV6 offers two battery sizes: a 58.0 kWh and a 77.4 kWh package. Obviously, larger ones will provide a longer driving range. The smaller standard battery has an estimated range of 232 miles by the Environmental Protection Agency; Largest long range battery EPA rated for up to 310 miles. Choose a performance-oriented GT model and the range drops to 206 miles per charge even though it comes with the larger of the two batteries. The four-wheel drive Wind model, which has the larger battery pack standard, took us on the road with highway fuel economy at 75 mph and measured 230 miles of real-world highway driving range before the battery needed to be recharged. Besides an operating voltage of 800 volts, Kia says its battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in less than 18 minutes when connected to a 350 kW fast charger. The test was done and the result was amazing and this meter is the same guy who added 70 miles in less than 5 minutes. The 11kW onboard charger is expected to refill the battery from 10 to 100 percent within 7 hours when connected to a level 2 outlet.
