The ZR2 combines premium interior design with immersive technology and a number of standard safety equipment features 2 and off-road prowess in one comprehensive package.
What are the features of the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado
The ZR2's suspension upgrades and enhanced off-road technology and exterior reinforcements were developed to improve performance and off-road capability—whether desert running or rock crawling—while balancing everyday driving comfort with payload support and comparable towing capacity with other Silverado off-road trims. The ZR2 has a maximum payload of 1440 lbs 3 and a conventional trailer weight rating of 8900 lbs 1 .
ZR2 features include:
- Standard 6.2-liter V8 engine and 10-speed automatic transmission
- Silverado's first application of Multimatic DSSV spool valve dampers
- Uniquely tuned springs work, with the multiple dampers, to increase maximum front and rear suspension travel, compared to the Silverado Trail Boss
- Front and rear electronic lockers
- Specific off-road chassis and suspension calibrations, including Terrain mode, which allows one-pedal rock crawling.
- Specific 33-inch off-road MT tires
- A unique skid plate package
A new steel front bumper designed for off-road strength, durability and clearance, including an all-new high-approach front bumper that provides an improved approach angle of 31 degrees, compared to other Silverado off-road models.
In addition to its functional features, the Silverado ZR2 features several aesthetic touches, including a new black hood, a unique grille with integrated lighting and the "Flow Link" logo, ZR2 badging, and unique, one-of-a-kind 18-inch wheels. Qatm Black / Graystone leather interior, with complementary dark edging.
The 2022 Silverado became available in the spring of 2022.
