What do you know about the engine of the Jeep 2022 Grand Cherokee
Three engine combinations are offered, including the familiar V-6 and V-8 options and a new plug-in hybrid variant called the Jeep 4xe. Although rear-wheel drive is standard on V-6-equipped models, there are no fewer than three different four-wheel drive systems available to help handle whatever your lifestyle demands, whether it's just navigating snowy weather or crawling rocks in Moab.
What's new for the 2022 Jeep Cherokee and what are the prices
For 2021, Jeep launched a new generation Grand Cherokee, but only offered the new model as a three-row L variant (reviewed separately) alongside the previous generation, two-row GC. For the 2022 model year, the Grand Cherokee drops its old bones with the introduction of a two-row chassis style that rides on top of new architecture. Oddly enough, Jeep is still selling the previous generation - dubbed the Grand Cherokee WK - until 2022. 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee and price.

Jeep Cherokee 2022 interior and exterior specifications and features
The Grand Cherokee starts thousands more than competitors like the Kia Telluride and Hyundai Palisade - they consider it a Jeep tax - and its higher rims are priced similarly to some luxury SUVs. However, we think the Limited model represents the best combination of features, and outperforms the base Laredo with more equipment to satisfy luxury buyers. The Limited comes standard with leather upholstery, a power tailgate, heated front and rear seats, power-adjustable front seats, interior ambient lighting, automatic high-beam headlights, remote start, and more. We're starting to get the Entertainment Group package, which adds the larger 10.1-inch infotainment screen and a nine-speaker Alpine stereo. We also choose the Lux Tech Group II package, with rain-sensitive windshield wipers, wireless phone charger, perforated leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, power-adjustable steering column, digital rearview mirror, second-row sunshades, and 360-degree outdoor camera system front and rear parking sensors, and a collision avoidance feature that helps when traveling through intersections.
Engine, Transmission and Performance Led Jeep Cherokee
Like the last generation Grand Cherokee, the new generation is powered by either a 3.6-liter V-6 or a 5.7-liter Hemi V-8. Jeep also offers a 4xe hybrid powertrain that delivers electrification to its SUV family. Rear-wheel drive is standard with the base V-6, but all-wheel drive is standard on the Grand Cherokee with a V-8 or hybrid powertrain. Several different all-wheel drive systems are available, including an electronically-locked limited-slip differential. The Trailhawk is also available with more aggressive off-road equipment and greater capabilities, featuring adjustable air suspension that provides up to 11.3 inches of ground clearance and a separate sway bar that allows for greater wheel articulation to handle challenging terrain. During our initial test drive, we were impressed with the Grand Cherokee's fluid and smooth ride and found both the V-6 and V-8 engines to be very playful. On our test track, our V-6 powered V-6 powered test vehicle managed a respectable 7.4 seconds at up to 60 mph. The off-road-oriented Trailhawk completed the same test in 7.7 seconds.
When you close your eyes and think of a Jeep, a rough-and-tumble Wrangler probably comes to mind, but the Grand Cherokee is just as important to the iconic off-road brand's sales success. Its allure is enhanced by the fact that it combines great off-road capability with off-road refinements, offers plenty of appointments and luxury features available, and has the rugged exterior that Jeep buyers love. We love it too, in fact, giving it an Editors' Choice Award.
