2022 BMW X6 BMW X6 2023 The Lows X6 is more affordable and practical, and the M50i demands a huge price jump and labyrinth infotainment menus. Verdict Although the X6 outlasts fashion, its smooth power and clever interior design lightens the burden of beauty.
Is the BMW X6 2022 a practical horsepower.
Numbers are a funny thing, and in the world of BMW naming, the X5 SUV is actually a bigger and more practical barge than the sloped-roof X6. In many ways, the X6 behaves like a thick Series 3 in high heels. Powered by a 335 hp (40i) six-cylinder or 523 hp (M50i) twin-turbo V-8, the X6 distributes power as smoothly as shaving cream. For more power, see the 617 HP X6 M (reviewed separately). Although the exterior dimensions of the X6 look distorted, the interior is elegant and functional. The modern sloping roof sacrifices some storage and storage space, but those who prefer its striking appearance above all are unlikely to care about the X5's high price tag.

What is the special price for the BMW X6 2022.
Despite the more sophisticated sounds and bolder acceleration the 523-hp X6 M50i offers, we don't think it's worth the extra $20,000. Instead, we were sticking with the X6 40i six-cylinder, which comes standard with all-wheel drive. We start with the spring for the M Sport package that includes a sleek body kit and rims, an upgraded exhaust system, a retuned suspension and a unique steering wheel. The Deluxe Seating Package is a solid value that adds ventilated front seats with additional power adjustments and massage functions. Those who live in cold weather locations like us will appreciate the new Climate Comfort Package. It includes four-zone climate control, heated seats in both rows, a heated steering wheel and armrests.
What about the engine, transmission and performance of the 2022 BMW X6.
The X6 40i is powered by a 335-hp 3.0-liter turbocharged 6-cylinder engine that features a 48-volt hybrid system and pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The M50i has the same transmission and all-wheel drive as well, but the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V-8 is much more powerful. Its 523 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque helped it hit 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds on our test track. Even more shocking, the X6 M has 617 horsepower and is even faster. However, the standard six-cylinder engine is extremely fast and smooth. The X6 40i and M50i models also have standard and precision adaptive dampers, and wheel sizes range from 20 to 22 inches. Our testing of the X6-powered V-8 revealed great cornering stability and stopping power. Although the suspension is stronger than the setup on the X6 six-cylinder engine we tested, it was never punishing. We also appreciated the adjustable steering weight and the quiet interior at cruising speed.
What is the towing and loading capacity of the BMW X6 2022.
The X6 has impressive towing capacity in a sector where towing capacity is often a low priority. When specified with the available towing package, the X6 has a maximum towing capacity of 7200 lbs.

The X6 40i four-wheeler is only rated at 21 mpg in the city and 25 on the highway. The more powerful twin-turbo V-8 X6 M50i is rated at 16 mpg city and 22 mpg highway. While the X6's inline-six engine exceeded the government's 75-mph highway fuel-economy forecast—part of our comprehensive test regimen—it achieved 29 mpg highway, the M50i missed its mark by 2 miles. per hour in the same test. Interior, comfort and cargo BMW X6 2022.
It's no surprise that the X6's interior looks like most other new BMW products, and that means high-quality materials, soft-touch surfaces, and two large 12.3-inch digital screens that dominate the dashboard. While the dashboard looks slick, the gauges are a confusing mess.
The optional offer is very clear. It is designed with the rest of the key combination also cleverly. BMW Gesture controls - which allow you to control certain functions such as volume by waving your hand in front of the infotainment screen - are included but not required. Plenty of standard amenities were provided as well, 16-way power-adjustable front seats, customizable ambient lighting, front air conditioning and heated cushions, and passive entry. By about 2 and 3 inches, respectively, compared to the Boxier X5. Likewise, the X6 has less cargo volume behind the rear seats. In our testing, I only carried nine handbags there; Processing X5 11.
