Rooted in Rally, developed under the direction of lead driver Akio Toyoda and inspired by the breed of Toyota sports cars, the GR Corolla hopes to make it to the top and drivers' wish lists when it debuts at its dealership later this year.

Powered by the lightweight, powerful yet powerful, turbocharged G16E-GTS three-cylinder engine that pumps out an impressive 300 horsepower, the GR Corolla will come in three grades: the base grade, the circuit version and the limited edition racetrack-focused engine, the Morizo version. The GR Corolla Core class is expected to arrive in dealer kits in the fall of 2022. The MORIZO Edition is expected to be released in the winter of 2023 and the Circuit Edition is expected to be released in the spring of 2023.

With a maximum thrust of 25.2 psi on the GR Corolla Core and Circuit Edition class and 26.3 PSI on production MORIZO, GR Corolla models have a factory estimated 0-60 mph time of about five seconds.

Far from the model, drivers will find very satisfactory torque across the powerband.
