What about the special transmission in the 2022 Honda Accord Sport.
Since a six-speed manual transmission is unfortunately no longer offered, we chose an Accord with an optional 10-speed automatic because the only other option is a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). That leaves us looking at the sporty model with an optional 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with a turbocharger.
Horsepower, transmission and performance 2022 Honda Accord Sport.
The lineup starts with a 192-hp 1.5-liter four-cylinder, but our favorite is the 252-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder that sits atop the engine pyramid and comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission that shifts almost naturally smooth. Both engines run smoothly, but the 2.0-liter delivers a burst of power that can easily spin the front tires in first gear. A hybrid is also available and is powered by a four-cylinder petrol engine and two electric motors. The Accord's chassis is well sorted and encourages the driver to push the car aggressively through corners, where minimal body wrap is exposed. The steering is light, as befits a 2022 Honda Accord Sport in this class, but I wouldn't mind if it conveys more feedback from the road. However, it is difficult to complain that the rudder was then accurate and predictable. The ride of the 2022 Honda Accord Sport is rigidly controlled but never harsh, which helps it strike a winning balance between a sports sedan and a practical family car.
Fuel Economy and MPG in the real world 2022 Honda Accord Sport.
This latest version of the Accord eliminated the previous generation of V-6 and naturally aspirated four-cylinder engines in favor of a pair of small-sized turbo fours, and the results were generally positive. Both engines achieved solid results in real-world highway fuel economy testing. In our highway loop, the 2022 Honda Accord Sport 2.0T 10-speed automatic outperformed EPA highway ratings by delivering 35 mpg. It also fared much better than the 2018 Camry we tested with its 301-hp V-6, which got 29 mpg. The 2022 Honda Accord Sport is rated by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for up to 47 mpg combined.

The Accord's interior is surprisingly spacious, and rear-seat passengers in particular will be happier in the Accord than in almost any other mid-size sedan. Honda's no-option bodywork means most of the decisions about its features are made for the driver, but nearly every Accord has stylish interior furnishings and at least some amenities. The Touring's top is decked out entirely, with heated and cooled leather front seats, heated rear seats, and a head-up display. However, the lower trim levels have their own charm. Among them are Honda's attractive, comfortable fabric seats and interior.
We don't beat the 17-cubic-foot cargo space in the 2022 Honda Accord Sport on the next best-in-class, but the 2022 Honda Accord Sport Hybrid doesn't lose any cargo space as a result of the components in its electric powertrain. In the tests conducted, the regular 2022 Honda Accord Sport carried two more bags with the rear seats folded more than we fit in the nearest competitor.
